We started our journey in mid-2017. Our previous business name was Joy Education Services. We rebrand in July 2018 and become codePlanet Code School.
A Welcome Message from the founder
Welcome to the Codeplanet Code School. I’d like to take this opportunity to give you a bit of background on who we are, what we do, how we got here, and what we hope to accomplish. First and foremost, we want to give everyone, especially the younger generation, an opportunity to learn computer programming.
How we started? My son is my inspiration. Few years ago, I was looking for an institution where my then 9 years old son can learn coding. I was looking for an organisation where he can attend weekly coding classes. I only find few organisations who offer School Holidays code camps and they are quite expensive. Finding no other way, I start teaching him coding.
I believe every child should learn to code. Why?
This is the age of technology, automation, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and machine learning. We are living in a world dominated by software. In every field we are seeing the application of technology. A study by STARTUP finds that by 2030, 40% of today’s jobs will become obsolete and it will be replaced by machines/robots (https://www.businessinsider.com.au/startupaus-technology-will-make-40-of-australian-jobs-obsolete-by-2030-2016-7).
According to Dr Dan Crow, professor at Leed University, ” In the future, not knowing the language of computers will be as challenging as being illiterate or innumerate are today“.
We have developed Computer Programming courses suitable for Beginners, Primary School and High School students. Our courses are in-line with the Australian STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Our specialisation is in Software Development, e.g. web design and development, animation, app and game development. Please visit our Courses page to know more about our courses. By attending our courses students should be able to understand programming logic and command structure; able to develop websites, games, apps, animations and interactive stories.
We offer online courses, home tutor services and run code clubs. Please note we can provide Home Tutor services only to residents who live in the Adelaide CBD and surrounding suburbs (within 15km radius). We are also interested to teach school kids coding at school as external support.
Mostly we get extremely positive feedbacks from the students, school teachers and parents. We understand young minds. We are passionate, experienced and eager to pass on our knowledge and expertise to our students.
All our tutors are well qualified, experienced and have child safety clearance from the Department of Community and Social Inclusion ( DCSI), Government of South Australia.

Dr Saha is a flexible and organised educational professional who is passionate about teaching Mathematics and Science concepts in an easily understandable manner. He is a registered High School Mathematics teacher of South Australia. Dr Saha received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide in 2016 and has been awarded the prestigious prize of “Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence”. He has more than ten years’ of experience to work as a lecturer, tutor and laboratory demonstrator in the field of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics. He keens to help students to understand and recognise the fundamental concepts.
Dr Manab Saha
Ms Purnima Das is a PhD Research Scholar and Casual Academic in the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University, Australia. Her research focuses on the data mining technique employing advanced programming languages.
She has several years of industrial experience to work as a web developer.
